This article in Medscape reports on a small survey taken by Laura Hurley, MD MPH at University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and Children’s Hospital Colorado, Aurora and colleagues. It is suggested that perhaps some additional measures could be taken to increase use of pneumococcal vaccines Prevnar 13 (PCV13 vaccine) and Pneumovax 23 ( 23 valent pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine). Review the latest ACIP recommendations to access relevant information on the use of pneumococcal vaccines.
