#NIAM18 physician’s across the country are becoming aware of a new hepatitis B vaccine for patients 18 years of age and older. Heplisav-B is only 2 doses and a faster option for hepatitis B vaccination series completion. With active HBV infections in the US estimated at ~ 2.2 million in 2015 it is easy to see that immunization and disease prevention in adults is important as it is for infants.
