Merck continues to evolve and expand the use of reusable shipping containers, effective June 1, 2020 Merck will begin shipping ALL Merck frozen vaccines in the new reusable container, which will help reduce waste and negative impact on our environment. |
•The new, reusable shipping container will look different than the current Styrofoam shipping container you have been receiving. •The new shipping container will now be used for ALL Merck vaccines originating from our Reno Distribution Center. •All direct vaccine shipments, indirect frozen vaccine shipments (eg, Wholesaler/Physician Distributor), and CDC frozen vaccine shipments will be shipped in the new reusable shipping containers. •Providers who receive both CDC and commercial orders from Merck (who may have relied on the differing box lids) can now differentiate their CDC shipment from their commercial shipment based on the packing slip enclosed. •The new shipping container will allow certain vaccines to be in transit for up to two (2) days. |
