The FDA approved an expanded age indication for Merck’s HPV 9 Vaccine, Gardasil 9.
The new age indication for this vaccine will cover the appropriate patients, males and females 9yrs to 45yrs! The FDA announcement came last Friday and should help prevent more diseases and cancers caused by the HPV in a wider age range. With 14 million Americans becoming infected with HPV each year, this is welcome news in disease and cancer prevention.
