Good news from Sanofi Pasteur the manufacturer of the Tdap vaccine, Adacel. The FDA approved the vaccine for repeat vaccination. It is now the first and only Tetanus toxoid, reduced diptheria toxoid and acellular pertussis vaccine in the U.S. approved for a repeat dose in people 10-64 years of age ( 8yrs + since first dose ).
Additionally, since Adacel is the only Tdap vaccine with a syringe that is natural rubber latex free it’s an option for patients with this allergy risk.
